SCALE · 4–8 MONTHS · POST-SEED TO SERIES A
For founders whose growth stalled because your three best engineers spend every Monday on interviews and every Friday on rewrites of what the new hires shipped. We own the rewire and hand back an org that ships without the founder in the loop.
The product is solid.
The constraint is the company that built it.
A senior engineer gives notice on Tuesday. By Friday, three customers are waiting on a release nobody left knows how to cut. The CTO is in interviews all week. Tickets go in, nothing comes out. An investor asks why headcount keeps growing and velocity doesn't.
MORE ENGINEERS
Five new hires won't fix a structure problem. They'll inherit it.
A REWRITE
A rewrite won't fix a team problem. It ships with the same incentives that broke the last codebase.
A FRACTIONAL VPE, TWO DAYS A WEEK
Two days a week can't rewire the org that created both — that's a rewrite of the company, and you can't do it on Mondays and Thursdays.
The code. We rip up the parts that won't survive the next 18 months, put a wall around the parts that will, and tell you which services to rewrite versus wrap.
The structure. Who owns what on Monday morning, what the on-call rotation looks like, which decisions stop coming to the founder — all written down in the org doc we leave behind.
The hiring pipeline. Job specs, interview rubrics, a shortlist of candidates we've already sourced, and offers signed before we leave.
The systems in production. Monitoring dashboards your team wrote, deploy pipelines your team ran at least three times, and an incident-response runbook we tested in a drill before handover.

SET BEFORE WE START
Fixed price
A small senior core pulls in a vetted network per engagement: design, compliance, extra engineering, scaled to the scope. No bench to keep busy.
PARTNERSHIP, NOT OUTSOURCING
It only works with a Tuesday sync, a shared Slack channel, and a founder who'll get on the phone inside two hours when something breaks. If monthly status meetings are your preferred rhythm, this isn't the shape.
We're not a replacement for your team. We sit beside your engineering lead, your head of product, and you — in that order.
The final call stays with the founder, always. If we disagree with one of your calls, we'll tell you in writing and then ship what you decide.
HOW IT ENDS
You own everything we ship
The handover is the deliverable. The last three weeks are a pairing phase: your new engineering lead ships next to ours, your ops person runs a deploy with us over their shoulder, and the final release goes out with your team at the console. The engagement ends on the date we wrote down.
PARTNERSHIP
For founders who've worked with us once and want a standing seat on the hard calls: architecture, hiring, product sequencing. Scoped in months, and we hand over and leave when the need ends.
